VAT number for Shopify
Want to sell online with Shopify in Italy? If your business is ongoing (not occasional), you need to register for VAT . This is a legal requirement for any e-commerce business.
How to do it?
- Choose the ATECO code for online commerce (e.g. 47.91.10).
- Purchase certified email (PEC) and digital signature .
- Open your VAT number online using the Revenue Agency's AA9/12 form.
- Choose your tax regime : the flat rate is ideal for those starting out (up to €85,000 in turnover).
